Pediatric Care

Youngsters are always welcomed!

Your First Dental Visit

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a child have an established dental home by their first birthday. This helps acquaint the child with the office and also allows first time parents to obtain tips on preventing early dental problems. However, by the age of three most children are usually mature enough to begin receiving a traditional dental cleaning with Ms. Annie. More importantly, there is a toy chest waiting at the end of the appointment for the rockstar patients! Our team has a great way of helping kids feel comfortable at each visit. Each staff member is trained in the Tell-Show- Do method which allows each youngster to understand everything going on and know that there is nothing to be afraid of.

Conscious Sedation

Dr. Kye is passionate about treating kids in the safest and non-invasive way possible. Although sedation dentistry may be required in some cases, our office does our due diligence to stay current with treatment modalities in order to reduce the number of cases in which sedation is needed. Silver Diamine Fluoride and S.M.A.R.T. restorations are just two examples of minimally invasive techniques used to help combat childhood cavities and keep a child from needing to be sedated.
